forever summer

commissioned by Michael Markowski, for a piece he wrote of the same name. the main theme is the idea of everlasting youth– neverending summer. the river winding through the trees into the horizon is a representation of infinity, an idea one of my friends gave me, and the music in the water is taken from the piece. the layering and complexity of the branches is supposed to create the feeling of richness and lushness in summer, and is also partially based on a photo that Markowski really likes, as is most of the the art he commissions from me. He likes photos of lot. Photos of trees. He likes trees a lot. a LOT.
