Commissioned by my former teacher as a birthday gift for her wife, who plays bassoon (hence the famous Rite of Spring solo) and loves reading. Her favorite books are Watership Down and the Princess Bride, so I added a princess and rabbits. The words forming the trees are the opening sentences from those two books, except for one of them, which is simply a generic “once upon a time”. The theme is centered around springtime and beginning anew.  | size: 12×20″
